Responsibilities

Trans.INFO is looking for a new journalist to join our international editorial team.

This is a freelance and fully remote role.

We are not looking for someone who simply “produces content”.

We’re looking for a journalist who understands that in today’s media environment, the real value lies in knowing what matters, what is changing, who to ask and how to turn information into content worth coming back for.

At Trans.INFO, we cover the European road transport, logistics and mobility industry across multiple markets and languages. Our readers are transport company owners, managers, drivers and professionals who need reliable information to make business decisions.

What will you do?

→ monitor the European transport & logistics market
→ identify the most important stories, regulatory changes, trends and industry developments
→ write and develop original news, interviews and expert content
→ adapt and localise international Trans.INFO stories for different audiences
→ work with AI-supported editorial and translation tools - while remaining responsible for the final journalistic quality
→ build relationships with experts, companies, associations and institutions
→ help us better understand what transport professionals actually want to read
→ support our social media presence by selecting and adapting editorial content for social channels, preparing posts and helping shape how Trans.INFO communicates with its audience beyond the website
→ collaborate with an international editorial team working across Europe

Who are we looking for?

Someone with a strong journalistic instinct and curiosity.

Someone who can look at a press release and immediately ask:
“What does this actually mean for a transport company?”

The role is freelance and fully remote, so we’re open to candidates based anywhere in Europe.

Requirements

You should:

→ have experience in journalism, online media or professional content creation → be comfortable working independently and making editorial decisions → understand digital publishing and the importance of speed — without sacrificing accuracy → be interested in business, transport, logistics, regulation or the European economy → be open to using AI as a tool that makes journalism faster and smarter, not as a substitute for journalism → have native-level or fluent English - this is a requirement → feel confident working in an international, remote environment → bring additional language skills where possible — Italian, Hungarian or Romanian will be especially welcome

Experience in transport & logistics is great.

But curiosity, judgement and the ability to understand a market are even more important.

Trans.INFO today publishes hundreds of articles every month across Europe. We are building a modern editorial organisation in which strong journalism + local market understanding + smart use of technology allow us to operate internationally without losing relevance.

We offer

  • Fully remote work
  • Flexible working hours
  • Part-time / freelance cooperation model
  • International working environment
  • High level of independence and ownership
  • Opportunity to work with modern AI-supported editorial tools
  • Access to an international network of experts and industry professionals
  • Possibility to shape content for multiple European markets
  • Direct impact on editorial direction and audience growth
  • Flexible, trust-based work culture
