Responsibilities
- The task of the Forwarder is the ongoing planning of transports. The person in this position acquires and accepts orders from clients, develops the best transport option, calculates costs, and negotiates terms. The Forwarder also organizes the formal side of planned transports – prepares the necessary documentation, coordinates the work of the driver, carries out settlements with clients, internal departments, and external units participating in the execution of transports.
- Organizing the cycle of forwarding and transport services
- Comprehensive service for clients in international transport
- Accepting orders and providing advice in this area
- Preparing transport documentation
- Planning transport relations with clients and drivers
- Shaping the proper image of the company
Requirements
- Higher or secondary education preferred in logistics or related fields
- Professional experience in the position of international forwarder
- Very good knowledge of regulations regarding international transport including driver working hours
- Knowledge of goods flow management techniques and the ability to plan routes
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers and clients
- Knowledge of the logistics market, including transport and warehouse suppliers
- Ability to use IT systems and tools for handling logistics documentation
- Knowledge of English at a level enabling negotiations and communication with foreign partners
- Ability to work under time pressure and solve logistical problems
- Accuracy and meticulousness in maintaining documentation and logistical analyses
- Communicativeness and ability to work in a team
- Creativity and initiative in seeking optimal transport solutions
- Willingness to travel for business and time flexibility at work
